Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mortaro Authority website and the services we provide. By using our site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our services

We design and build large local-authority websites for businesses, provide ongoing maintenance under a monthly retainer, and offer optional add-on services (such as additional content or SEO). The specifics of any engagement are agreed with you before work begins.

Pricing & payment

  • Builds start from £2,500. Monthly management is flat by number of sites: £250/mo for 1–5 sites, £500/mo for 6–15, and £1,000/mo for 16+, and includes hosting, theme customisation, the reviews tool, and the edits we agree each month.
  • Ongoing new content beyond the delivered pages, and any optional SEO work, are quoted separately.
  • Payment-plan options may be available (e.g. spreading the build over up to six months). Fees, schedules and minimum terms are confirmed in your individual agreement.

Risk-reversal & cancellation

Your first month of maintenance is free, and you may cancel within 60 days of your site going live as described in your agreement. After any minimum term, the retainer may be cancelled with reasonable notice.

What you get & ownership

On full payment of the build fee, you own the delivered website asset and its content. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, methods, frameworks and know-how used to produce it. Any third-party assets (e.g. fonts, stock imagery, plugins) remain subject to their own licences.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, any materials we reasonably need, and timely approvals, and to ensure that content you supply does not infringe third-party rights or applicable law.

Results & no guarantees

We build for depth, design quality and lead generation, but search engines and markets are outside our control. We do not guarantee specific rankings, traffic, lead volumes or revenue. Any examples or projections are illustrative, not promises.

Acceptable use

You may not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or use our services for unlawful purposes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and your mandatory statutory rights (including any consumer rights under the laws of your country) are unaffected.

Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other's non-public information confidential and use it only to perform the engagement.

Termination

Either party may terminate as set out in your agreement or these Terms. Sums properly due for work performed remain payable.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction — except where mandatory local law (for consumers in the UK, EU, US, Canada, Australia, the UAE or elsewhere) gives you rights or a forum that cannot be overridden, which continue to apply.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
